T-Bone

"T-Bone" was our first show dog, and what a show dog! He finished at 11 months, handled by his breeder. We knew he had promise when he received Best Of Breed first time out as a special. T-Bone was campaigned by Kay Palade (now Peiser) and in addition to winning groups, he was shown at the Westminster Kennel Club in 2000 and 2001.

Kay also fulfilled her promise and made T-Bone a Top Twenty Boxer, a competition held at the American Boxer Club National Specialty. He remained in the Top Twenty during 2000 and 2001. When we moved back to Michigan, Stan Flowers took T-Bone on as a special and continued his winning ways. Today, T-Bone enjoys the retired life, leaving the winning to his kids and grandkids.

T-Bone has two Champion offspring, Ch. Golden Gloves A Cut Above owned by Tom & Judy DeWolff, and Ch. Windy City's Eli's Coming.

T-Bone was pictured in a Boston Globe article about the Westminster Kennel Club show. He was also featureed in Joe Boxer ads in the summer of 2002.

Dear T-Bone,

You were our best buddy, right from the start,
You tugged on our pant legs and then our hearts,
We lived, loved, and laughed and thought we would never part.

You were just 8 weeks when we brought you home,
You were free to be you and play and roam,

You loved the dog shows and showed so well,
You were going to be a star, that we could tell.

From puppy classes to the Garden,
that was it, you were bound for stardom.

You quickly earned your way to the Top
From BOB, & Group ones, you were not going to stop!

Once you retired from the show ring,
You slept in our bed and lived life like a king.

You were our heart & soul and we didn't want to let go,
but you needed to move on and your eyes told us so.

You were our best friend and taught us how to love,
now you're in a better place far away and above.

Please watch over us and keep us close at heart
and know our love for you will never part.

The house is very quiet with you away,
the other dogs are missing you and looking for you to play.

Saying good-bye was so hard to do,
There will never been another one, just like you.

Today, we had to say good-bye, and let you rest,
we kissed you gently and told you again, you were the BEST!

Rest well Mr. T…..
