In May 2003 we attended the American Boxer Club National Specialty show. While there, Mel Holloman showed us a male pup he had high hopes for, and the next thing we knew, we were rearranging the van and "Louie" was on his way home with us. Louie's sire, Taylor (Ch. High River's Taylor Made of Backwoods), was Winners Dog at the 2001 ABC and Best of Opposite Sex in 2002. Louie's dam is the daughter of the Australian import bitch Thasrite Oz Conxion, and recently became a Dam of Merit, making her sire, Ch. Seaside's EWO Surfbreaker, SOM, LOM, a Legion of Merit producer. Surfbreaker and his litter brother, Ch. EWO's Tiebreaker, SOM, LOM, are the only littermates in the Legion of Merit, and only the third pair to be from the same dam.

Louie started his show career with Kay in August 2003. He quickly earned three majors and finished his Championship on December 12, 2003. Louie is Champion #5 for his sire. Louie is also a Canadian Champion. We are sure that he will be a great asset not only to our breeding program, but to the Boxer breed as well. He is a sweet, fun loving boy with a solid topline, beautiful movement, and a pedigree to complete it all.
