We're certain we can say "Smarty Pants" was our Once in a lifetime dog! Smarty excelled in anything she attempted whether it was the show ring, the whelping box, or in the middle of our bed!
Smarty came to us from Gloria & Jack Bower of Royal Palms Boxers to begin her show career. She made her mark in the show ring! She finished her AKC Championship in April 2005, with Guy & Nicole Fisher. She began her specials career with Dawn Honaker and went on to become #6 Boxer bitch and #10 Boxer for 2006. She was ranked #4 Boxer bitch All-Breed systems. She competed in the Top 20 competition for 2007. She was invited to compete at the Eukanuba Classic show for 2007 where she received an Award of Merit and qualified to compete at Crufts.
During 2007, she was the #6 Boxer bitch and #15 Boxer, putting her back into the Top 20 competition for 2008. She was ranked as #4 Boxer bitch all-breed systems.
Smarty acquired her Canadian Championship in 3 days with Medley Small on the lead. This team went on to Best in Show and Best in Specialty Show wins, as well as winning the Canadian Boxer Club Regional. Smarty became the #1 Boxer bitch in Canada for 2008.
Aside from her amazing show career, Smarty was the BEST companion. She adored everyone, she had to inspect anyone that came into our home and she had to decide whether or not she wanted them to leave! She really had her own agenda and made sure we all conformed. She loved life, loved to play, loved to be loved, and most of all loved us.
Smarty, you are our hero.
